Introduction

SST Installed at Store


The SST’s will be delivered to site at least a day before installation by Tactile Technologies, who will image the SST on behalf of Cosoft. You will, however, still need to setup the SST to connect to the server.


The document will guide you through each of the following topics:


  • Software
    • Integration Software Release.
    • Software Updates.
    • Shutdown Process.
  • SST Manage Interface (Menu & Banking)
    • Self Service Terminal Menu Management Interface.
    • FNB Management Interface.

Software


Integration Software Release

The software will be released to the store once the JIRA SST Job has been created and sent to the relevant person releasing the software.


Software Updates

Whenever an update for the software is released it will appear on the Kiosk screen for the store to update.



The Manager or Employee in the store will need to click on Install Now - if the update requires a password, use C0s0ft

If you need the keyboard just tap the screen to get the onscreen keyboard.


Shutdown Process 

To shut down the SST you will need to go to the server and connect to the SST remotely via Anydesk by using the SST IP Address. Password for Anydesk will be C0s0ft123



To get the IP address for the Kiosk you will need to go to the SST Manage Interface:

https://localhost:9118/manage/ui or https://localhost:9119/manage/ui

Click Kiosk then List, under list you will find the Address this is the IP Address for the SST.



Once connected to the SST via Anydesk you will need to press ALT F4 to access the home screen of the SST once on the home screen you can navigate to the Top left corner and click on the drop down and select the Power Button:



Once you have selected the Power Button the power options will pop up from here you will need to select Power Off.



Note:

It is off VERY HIGH Importance that you understand NEVER to use the Blue Power Button on the inside of the SST to shut down the SST, doing so can corrupt the hard drive. Only use the Power Button to turn on the SST.




SST Menu & Banking Management

Self Service Terminal Menu Management Interface

This part of the document will guide you through setting up the SST Manage interface and cover some key features.

The first thing you will need to do is on the server on google chrome you will need to visit the following URL:


https://localhost:9118/manage/ui or https://localhost:9119/manage/ui


Note: 

Bookmark this URL as SST Manager to easily access this when you need to.



Once the page has loaded you will have 2 selections:

  • Selection one: Updates – Here you will find a list of updates that have been downloaded automatically.
  • Selection two: Kiosk – Here you will find additional options. Below is a breakdown.


Additional Options under Kiosk:

 

 

List:

When selecting List, you will get the below information:

Address: This refers to the IP address of the SST (Kiosk)

Status: This refers to the current status of the SST (Online, Offline, Unresponsive)

Test Print: Will allow you to print a test page.

Set Online: Changing the status to Online (Ready to be used)

Set Offline: Changing the status to Offline (Not ready to be used)

Restart Services: Restarting the SST services.



Menu:

When selecting Menu, you will see a list of all the Menu Categories and number of items in the Category. Here you can select the Categories or Menu items that will be available on the SST (Kiosk).



For example:

 

If you are not selling salads, you would be able to Disable the Salads Category by clicking on the toggle switch.

If you are not selling a certain item, you would be able to Disable the specific item by clicking on the Category 

and then clicking the toggle switch next to the item.

 

Note: 

If you select Enable all, everything will be available on the SST (Kiosk)

If you select Disable all, nothing will be available on the SST (Kiosk)

Always click the save button if you have made any changes!

FNB Management Interface

This part of the document will guide you through setting up the FNB Manage interface and cover some key features.

The first thing you will need to do is on the server on google chrome you will need to visit the following URL:


https://reports.ms.fnb.co.za


Note: 

Bookmark this URL as SST FNB Switch Portal to easily access this when you need to.



Once the page has loaded you will have to login with the login details received from FNB when you signed up, if you have not received this information please call the FNB Merchant Service Help Desk on 087 343 1551

Once logged in you will see the below options:



To view all the transactions for the day you will need to select Transactional Reports.

 

To view a summary of transactions for the day you will need to select Reconciliation Reports.

Troubleshooting


Restarting the FNB Pin pad without unplugging it.

How to restart the FNB pin pad without unplugging it.


The first sequence you will need to press on the FNB Pin pad:

Hold down the Green Button and press 7.

 


Next it will ask for a password, the password will be generic for all FNB Pin Pads - "166831" then press Green Button again.

 


After that you will just need to press 1 for restart.

 


Screen is stuck on Please Wait.



To fix this is you will need to connect to the SST via Anydesk then hold Shift and press the *(Star) button on the keyboard three times and then select clear storage and restart the unit and it will be fine.
