When the SST (Self Service Terminal) has been switched off, once switched on again it will automatically check for updates.
It will stay on the 'Ubuntu" loading screen while downloading the updates.
Please do not restart or shut down the SST while it is on the loading screen.
The following aspects will affect the time the SST will stay on the loading screen:
- The amount of time the SST has been switched off.
- The number of updates that need to be downloaded and installed.
- The speed of the internet.
This can take up to 1 hour depending on the above 3 aspects. If the SST takes too long to update please switch it off, unplug the network cable, plug it back in, and switch on the SST again.
