This document is for the new stores that have recently signed up for SST's.

Once the SST has been switched on the first step you will need to take is to rename the SST.

Things to remember when naming the SST.

  1. When naming the SST you will need to use the name in the following format: Always use Capital letters, add no spaces or special characters - for example your first SST will be called SST1 and the second SST will be called SST2.
  2. The SST's should be named from left to right so the first SST to your left will be SST1 and the next SST will be SST2. You
  3. Always name the SST's in sequence starting at 1 then 2 then 3 and so on.


To name the SST's you will need to do the following:


Step 1: Connect to the SST via Anydesk or connect a keyboard to the SST. (How do I connect to the SST at the Store?)


Step 2: Access the SST's Ubuntu Home Screen by pressing ALT+F4.


Step 3: Once you are on the Home Screen Click the settings button in the top right corner of the screen.


Step 4: Click on the user name SST, and then from the drop-down options click on Account Settings.



Step 5: Change the User Name to SST1. (For the next SST you will do the same but the name will be SST2). You will also need to make sure that Automatic Login is switched ON.



Step 6: You will now need to select About on the left-hand side and also change the SST Name to match the User Name.



Once you have changed the name you can now open the web browser and run the SST interface.


To access the SST Interface settings, you will either need to connect a keyboard to the SST or connect to the SST via Anydesk.

To access the settings page on the keyboard, hold Shift and press *** (Star 3 times)


Controller > 



Theme: Based on the brand (Steers / Debonairs / Fishaways). Combo stores should be on "Default"

Orientation: Always be Portrait.

Hide Cursor: This will enable you to hide the mouse on the screen.


Instances >


Add Instance: This is where you add and configure the "Server integration, etc" 


To add the instance type the port number representing an instance "brand" in the clear field then tap Add Instance after each port has been added.

It is very important to note that each port will represent a "brand" so only add one port for a single standalone store, and one port for each brand in a combo store.

example:

Single Stand Alone store 

One Brand = One Port - Port number 4000

Combo store

Two Brands = Two Port numbers 4000, 4001

Three Brands = Three Port numbers 4000, 4001, 4002


Configure: Editing the instance.



General >


Kiosk Label: Name of the Brand, if the store has Multiple SST’s you will add a number, for example, Cosoft Kiosk 1.

Theme: Based on the brand (Steers / Debonairs / Fishaways).

Currency Symbol: Based on the current currency of the country (South Africa = R).

Orientation: Always be Portrait.

Menu Columns: The number of columns the menu should be displayed in default should always be 2.

Hide Cursor: This will enable you to hide the mouse on the screen.
Enable Image Cache:
Always Enable the images for the SST to display images.
Prompt for Eat In:
This will give a pop up to ask the customer if they will be eating in the store.

Multi Menu: This should be ticked if you want to display multiple menus on a single SST.


Integrations >


Namespace: This is used to select the server where the SST Integration software is running from in a COMBO store. If the store is a Standalone store the Namespace will be Default.
Integration Server:
IP address of the server where the Integration software is installed.
Integration Port:
Always 9118.

ProfileID: This will only be applicable if you selected Multi Menu, as this is where you select the menu for this instance.

Payment Server: Same IP as Integration server IP.
Payment Port:
Always 9229.

Allow Pay Later: Enabling a customer to pay at the till

Printing >


Invoice Printing Mode: This should always be set to Local USB Printer. As this is the printer installed inside the SST, if this is changed to print anywhere else it will not print a customer slip at the SST.

Kitchen Printing Mode: This is the Aura Print Service (NodeJS) 


Due to a bug in the system, please use Delphi print services, add the print server IP and port: 


Print Server: Same IP as Integration server IP.
Print Port:
Always 9119.

and then change it back to NodeJS.



Namespace: This is used to select the server where the SST Integration software is running from in a COMBO store. If the store is a Standalone store the Namespace will be Default.
Print Server:
Same IP as Integration server IP.
Print Port:
Always 9119.


Manage Printers > 

localhost:9119/printerconfig/list

Manage Printers should only be used if you are going to print Kitchen slips instead of using KDS.



Once you are on the home page you can now add your printer to the SST by selecting + Add New.

You will now need to add the information below for the following printer:

- Kitchen Printer



Printer Name: This will be the name of the printer for example Steers Kitchen Printer.

Printer Category: Here you can select the type of printer. For Kitchen Printer select Production.

Connectivity: How is this printer connected to the SST. (Network, USB, Direct to Port) you will need to select Network.

Address: IP Address for the printer.

Type: The type of printer should always be Narrow.

Include in Collection: Do not tick this box, if you do not have KDS installed


Below is an example of a Kitchen printer that has been setup:



Once the printer has been created you can now go back to the Setup page.


Ignore Printer Category: This box should only be ticked if you want to ignore the printer categories already created in Aura.

Kitchen Printer: Select the printer created in "Manage Printers" if you are printing to the kitchen/consolidated printer.



Once you have completed all the above steps for the instance you have created you can go back all the way till you see the below:



Click on Save to close the settings and Launch the SST Menu selection screen. If you have more than one instance you will need to follow the above for each of those instances.
